A Winning Chess Strategy

By admin On May 31, 2009 Under Chess Strategies

You can never really tell how a chess game will end since thousands of move combinations are possible. Appropriate strategies and tactics are devised by both players in the hope of winning the game. In order to apply the winning chess strategy, you must have a goal so that you can set all the pieces at the right positions to form an attack. When you say tactics, it refers to the step-by-step strategic moves where other moves are based upon. Strategy and tactic should go hand in hand for it to be a winning chess strategy.

A chess game is divided into 3 parts – opening, middle, and end game. In the opening, players will try to prepare their pieces to move into a battle. At the middle game, chess pieces are launched; some are caught while some pawns try to reach the farthest side for promotion. In the endgame, the King takes part in the game. Before the end game sets in, players should be able to keep their valuable pieces to make an effective final struggle. Somehow, only one player will be able to apply the best winning chess strategy.

For openings, you can use the Sicilian Defense or the Ruy Lopez. These are famous moves from two chess masters. In the Lopez move, the pawns on the King’s side are moved towards the center. The other one aims to get multiple pawns at the center of the board to ensure effective maneuvers in the later part of the game.

In the middle game, you can apply the Zwischenzug strategy. In this winning chess strategy, the player will not make the expected move but another one to divert the attention of the opponent. There are still other middle game strategies that you can use and all you need to do is to continue learning. The game is very intricate and only those who are willing to learn continuously win.

In order to make use of the different strategies and tactics, you should know the limitations of each chess piece. Once you have developed your goal, get your pieces moving and don’t hold back. Don’t waste your pawns unnecessarily because they guard your most important pieces. Chess is a tricky game so careful planning is required. You should also know the point system of the game. Don’t focus in capturing your opponent’s pieces alone. Always keep in mind that your opponent also has his own winning chess strategy. Making use of the right winning chess strategy is the best way to ensure your victory.

Search the internet for more winning chess strategy that you can use in your future games. You can even enroll in chess classes so that you can learn more together with other players. Once you learn many strategies, try to devise a winning chess strategy that you can use in various games depending on your opponent. As you develop more strategies, you will have a higher chance of winning. Chess masters also started out like novices but they were able to play in different levels and so they keep on winning.
