Discover the Strategies of Chess

By admin On June 4, 2009 Under Chess Strategies

Chess players who wanted to shoot down their opponents and very eager to prove that they are better than them must be able to learn and study the basic strategies of chess. The learning of chess has two components, strategies of chess and chess tactics. The first, which is strategies of chess, state to your mind what goal you are really intend to be attained and what you are going to do with excess materials; and the second one, which is chess tactics, refers to chances of winning material or gain a certain goal. The player who has a broad knowledge and willing to acknowledge anything about strategies of chess will have a better performance for conducting his game than the player without any plan how to work with his game.

Here are some strategies of chess:

  • End Game Strategy
  • Mid – Game Strategy
  • Opening Strategy
  • Managing an attack on opponent’s king

You can also include Meta – Strategy in strategies of chess such as follows:

  • Tactics Learning
  • Clock Management
  • Studying how to think at the board, etc.

One of strategies of chess that most players can learn at the early stage of their game is what will going to do when they are in front of a material or what actions should they go for with piece or extra pawn. Sometimes, the important use of pawn or how you make an action with it is enough to make your chess game win, not as simple as it sounds but with player’s genius move, one can apply this action in strategies of chess. The other way to make most of the piece more useful is to create even exchanges to increase its advantage. Exchange in strategies of chess refers to a part of game in which one player misses his minor piece by capturing of its opponent but also captured back his opponent’s piece, therefore exchanges is an equal action and as what was stated above, players can make it more useful, for example, if you are handling 7 pawns and your opponent is caring for 6 pawns, you have approximately 14 percent more piece than your opponent. If each of you misses 5 pawns because of even exchanges, you have now 2 more pawns left while your opponent is holding only 1 or should we say 100% more piece than your opponent. One of the rule in strategies of chess is that when the player is ahead in material, other things are even so one can increase his material advantage by doing material reduction on the board done with even exchanges.

Chess is a difficult mind puzzle game. Some other people do not want to try it nor play it because it is difficult for them to understand or to win the game but having a difficult and complicated actions and moves in this game is what makes it fun that is why there are such strategies to help us more to enjoy in this game.
